Thomas Molesworth is an artist!
He enjoys making custom, one of a kind chandeliers using steel, brass, copper, wood, rawhide, mica, glass and antlers.

Here are tips from designer Candice Olson, host of HGTV’s Divine Design, on how to choose the right shades and bulbs for your chandelier.
1. For a chandelier without shades, use clear lightbulbs to highlight the fixture.
2. If your chandelier has shades, use frosted bulbs so you don’t have a “hot spot” of light showing through the shade — frosted bulbs diffuse the light passing through the shade.
3. Black chandelier shades direct light down more than white shades for an intimate feel — perfect for the dining room or bedroom.
4. White chandelier shades disperse light for even, strong illumination in the room.
5. Most chandelier bulbs are incandescent, and they cast a yellow light. But Philips has a chandelier bulb that uses halogen technology (with the same traditional base to fit in your fixture). Halogen chandelier bulbs cast a crisp, white light for a glow that’s closer to natural light. “Halogen bulbs really make your chandelier sing,” says Olson.

This month’s contest, ‘Home Lighting: Decorating Moroccan Style’, is an event for amateurs and professionals with an interest in interior design, online shopping and home decorating with Chandeliers.
Due to last month’s theme overwhelming response, The Moroccan Bazaar announces a repeat of the theme. This time the theme’s contest is in a written format and the entry deadline is September 15th.
The contestants need to be familiar with Moroccan home lighting in particular and home decor and interior designing with chandeliers in general. The article is to be 750-850 words with a focus in chandeliers and Moroccan home lighting. The goal of the article writing contest is to expose and to inform the readers about the increasing popularity of Moroccan interior design, chandeliers and home decorative lighting. The article needs to be informative, includes design tips, techniques, opinions and commentaries in other words the writer needs to speak as an expert in the field. Article ideas, editorial guidelines and contest rules can be found at The Moroccan Bazaar’s decor site. The winner of the article wins $1000.00 store certificate.

Maybe its the current cold snap, but suddenly we are really looking forward to Spring. At least that’s what we plan to blame our sudden interest in this funky floral chandelier on.
It’s a bit over the top, but we can picture it looking really right-on in a kitchen, bath or anywhere that could use a little humor and sunshine.
Because it is from the C&B kids store, Land of Nod, the price is right, only $119.
